We are passionate about getting young children active and trying new activities. At Lady Octavia Sports Centre we have introduced a new programme called Balanceability. The ‘Learn to Cycle’ programme is the UK’s first, and only, scheme of its kind.

Balanceability is aimed at children aged between 2 ½ to 6 years old and is designed to teach them the fundaments of riding a bike by improving their stability, co-ordination, agility, core strength and flexibility. In total there are twelve sessions and each session is clearly defined and structured in such a manner placing the emphasis on fun for the children whilst teaching them in a safe environment and lifelong skills.

Mini Kickers

If your children love football, then we are sure they will love and enjoy our Mini-Kickers class down at Greenock Sports Centre. The class is aimed towards children aged 3 to 5 year old. Our exciting and fun Mini-Kickers class looks to develop and enhance core skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting in fun sessions with qualified coaches.

IL Active Weight

IL Active Weight is a new healthy lifestyle weight management programme that looks to transform and aid the participant’s healthy life style. It teaches them about measurements, Eatwell plate, portion sizes, food labeling, physical activity, fats and sugars, alcohol and snacks as well as long term goals. The course is on Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm and held in the Conference Room at the Waterfront Leisure Complex.
