the most fun you've had at an ice rink. Double it or maybe even
quadruple it, and you've got some idea of how much fun the whole
family can have at the Waterfront Leisure Complex. It's the fun
capital of the West. A leisure complex with a unique combination
of ice and water thrills. With everything from an outdoor lagoon
to a tropical wave pool and ice discos and curling rink.
The whole complex, complete with a new state of the art fitness
studio, health suite, dance studio, bar and coffee house has been
designed to cater for everyone's idea of fun. To make sure as many
people as possible can enjoy the Waterfront's unique facilities,
we've made it easy to get to. Only 30 minutes from the centre of
Glasgow via the M8 and served by a variety of local buses, it's
also accessible by trains to the nearby Greenock Central mainline
station.
We've thought of everything at the Waterfront. All you and the
family have to do is turn up and enjoy yourselves.

Even the futuristic architecture of the Waterfront is decidedly
aquatic. The spectacular frontage resembles the giant ribs of a
ship, connected by a curtain of glass. The continuous glass of
the rear elevation gives breathtaking views of the Clyde to the
hills beyond.
Swimming at The Waterfront is out of this
world too. Your only problem is where to start. Most people head
straight for the Leisure Pool with its multiple
attractions including ultra safe toddlers section. Sessions in
this fun-filled paradise
last for at least a big value 90 minutes. Easily enough time to
do the rounds more than once. How about the longest,
most exciting Tyre Ride in the country, 110 metres
for starters. There's all
the thrills and spills of the Body Flume Ride too,
or a spot of surfing in the Tropical Wave Pool.
Then you could put your feet up in the relaxing Pool Side
Spa, or maybe meander slowly along
the Lazy River. For people who prefer to swim
in straight lines, there is a six lane 25 metre Training
Pool with state of the art
moveable floor. The perfect venue for serious fitness sessions,
swimming lessons, aqua aerobics and aqua natal classes. When you
want to have even more fun, you can swim straight through from
the Training Pool to the Leisure Pool and beyond.
That's the beauty of swimming at the Waterfront;
all the pools and water attractions are interlinked. No climbing
bridges or clambering through corridors. Just stay in the water
and swim, swim, swim. And you can swim through the archway to the
great outdoors and the delights of the bubble beds.
Making life easy for visitors is what the
Waterfront is all about. you'll find the superbly practical, well-planned
changing facilities very family friendly and there is wheelchair
access throughout the complex.

Group Fitness Programme
Get fit, stay fit, get fitter ... that’s what our group fitness classes are all about. Let our motivational instructors take you on a fun-filled fitness journey. You’ll hear great music, perform great moves and all the while have lots of fun!
Our studio is predominately filled with the Les Mills Body Training Systems programmes which are completely results driven, so you know you will be all you can be by participating in these pre-choreographed classes. The programmes we offer at the moment are BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT and BODYATTACK.

BODYPUMP – It’s the fastest way to shape up and lose body fat. It is a toning and conditioning class with weights and is just about for everybody. It is perfect for both men and women who want to add strength training to their aerobic workout. |

BODYCOMBAT – It’s a non-contact, martial arts based fitness programme with moves drawn from karate, tae kwon do, kung fu, kickboxing, muay thai and t’ai chi.

BODYATTACK – It’s a simple, high-intensity group fitness class that’s fully optioned to cater for all levels. You’ll experience high-energy sports training moves for cardio vascular fitness, along with upper and lower body conditioning exercises for building strength.
All our Les Mills instructors receive educational training every 3 months and all hold a current music 2 play license.
